A Good and Loving Almighty God

He who argues against a good and loving almighty God because He has not destroyed the wicked, does not understand Who God is or what he has demanded of Him.

God exercised perfect judgement before the foundation of the world, condemning all unbelief and disobedience as sin, and sentencing all sin with death. All men from the beginning of time until its end are judged by His judgement, and by His judgement all are found guilty and under sentence of death. Were God to execute His justice upon men right away, all men would perish.

Rather, God’s executed judgment resides upon His Son and man’s sentencing is delayed.

God has appointed a Day of Judgement, on which all men shall be subject to judgement and sentencing. Until that day, men live as they choose, accumulating those things for which God shall judge and His awful justice will come down. On that day, all the wickedness and unrighteousness of men will be brought before the judgement seat of Christ, Who will mete out justice with an even hand, all men judged equally and by one standard: How have you violated God’s righteous nature? Did you receive Christ’s atoning sacrifice to cover your trespass?

Then everyone who is guilty will be found guilty, and receive the just sentence for their crimes. Those who have refused God’s gracious atonement will bear their own judgement into eternity. Those who have received the Lord Jesus Christ, and His death as atonement for their sin, shall be set free, their sentence paid, by God’s justice meted out upon our Lord.

He is not unjust to allow wicked men to live; He is gracious and patient with human frailty, not desiring any to perish. But make no mistake; He will not wait forever; men’s sins have been judged, and reckoning is due.
